Hay muchas cosas que amo acerca de estar en mis treintas y una de esas es tener la suficiente confianza para usar tenis con (casi) todo. Anteponer la comodidad a la moda es una de las muchas cualidades que he apropiado con la edad y por esto, no quisiera retroceder el tiempo ni un minuto. Siempre supe que esta década iba a ser mil veces mejor que los 20's, porque combina juventud con sabiduría y en verdad ha sido así.

También en mis 30's sigo usando rosado sin complejos, ya que es mi color favorito y como le he mencionado antes, es fabuloso que esté en tendencia otra vez. Usando este vestido estampado en rosado 'Millenial' con tenis del mismo espectro de color le hago homenaje a mi generación, aunque debo admitir que me siento poco Millenial. El funcionamiento de las redes sociales siguen siendo una especie de animal mítico, porque mientras mis pares bloggers más jóvenes logran hacer ver cada foto súper espontánea, yo a duras penas adopté la palabra selfie dentro de mi vocabulario hace como dos años y necesito tomarme unas 235 de ellas antes de lograr un ángulo que me favorezca.

A pesar de esos pequeños detalles, son más las ventajas de tener 30 en esta época que las desventajas (incluyendo el haber aprendido a usar el lenguaje correctamente), ya que en realidad no me imagino la adolescencia existencial con Tinder e Instagram, creo que hubiese enloquecido. Y estar en ese limbo de haber estado expuestos a la tecnología desde jóvenes, pero a la vez tener ciertos valores y aptitudes sociales que son un poco retro, nos hace ser una especie en extinción que puede adaptarse y lograr todo lo que queramos.

There are many things I love about being in my thirties, and one of them is having enough confidence to wear sneakers with (almost) everything. To put comfort before fashion is one of the many qualities I've acquired with age, and I wouldn't want to go back in time for one second. I always knew this decade was going to be a thousand times better than my 20's, since it combines youth with wisdom, and it truly has been like that.

I also in my 30's still wear pink unabashedly, because it's my favorite color, and like I've mentioned before, it's fabulous that is back in style. By wearing this printed dress in Millenial Pink with sneakers in the same shade, I pay homage to my generation, although I must admit I don't feel like a millennial most of the time. How social media works is still some sort of mystery, because while my fellow younger bloggers make their photos look effortless, I barely incorporated the word selfie to my vocabulary a few years ago, and I need to take about 235 of those in order to find a good angle.

Despite those minor details, there are more advantages than disadvantages about being 30 in this day and age (including learning how to use grammar correctly), since I really can't picture myself going through existential adolescence with Tinder and Instagram, I for sure would've gone insane. And to exist in this sort of limbo of being exposed to technology from a young age, while having certain principles and social aptitudes that are sort of retro, makes us an endangered species that can adapt and achieve everything we want.
