When I was in high school I used to live for drama, so little happened in my life that I was always looking for ways to make it more exciting. I would break up with my boyfriend for no reason just to go through the emotional rollercoaster of getting back together, or got into heated discussions with friends or even teachers just to feel something different, to feel alive.

After that, my life got way too interesting for my taste, so ever since I have been trying to dial down the emotion, and sometimes the drama. But do not be mistaken, because deep down I am still a drama queen, except now I look for it in healthier places, such as my closet. Everyday life usually requires for me to be practical and wear comfortable pieces, so once in a while, I want to make a statement and wear something dramatic.

I like to life my life with as much balance as possible, and for that I need to recognize that I have a dark side within me that is a mixture of Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, with Kathryn Merteuil from Cruel Intentions, and let me tell you, a lot of drama happens around them. So every now and then I give my alter ego this healthy dose of excitement to keep her happy, and under control. Trust me, you don't want to be friends with me when this person fully takes over.

Cuando estaba en el colegio vivía para el drama, pasaban tan pocas cosas en mi vida que siempre estaba buscando formas para hacerla más excitante. Por eso terminaba con mi novio sin razón sólo para pasar por la montaña rusa emocional de volver, o peleaba con amigas y hasta profesores para sentir algo diferente, para sentirme viva.

Después, mi vida ya se puso demasiado interesante para mi gusto y desde entonces he estado es queriendo bajarle a la emoción y a veces al drama. No se confundan, en el fondo todavía soy una gran amante del drama, excepto que ahora lo busco en lugares más saludables, como en mi closet. Mi vida cotidiana requiere de tanta practicidad en mi vestuario, que de vez en cuando me gusta agregarle drama y usar piezas impactantes.

Me gusta vivir mi vida de la forma más balanceada posible, y necesito reconocer que tengo un lado oscuro dentro de mí que es una mezcla de Miranda Priestly de la Película The Devil Wears Prada junto con Kathryn Merteuil de Cruel Intentions. Así que en ciertas ocasiones le doy a mi alter ego esta dosis saludable de drama y emoción para tenerla feliz y bajo control. Créanme que no quisieran estar a mi alrededor cuando este personaje se apodera de mí completamente.
