Of course I am not trying to tell you what to do (and of course I'll put all the links to shop below in the pictures 🙃). Lately, I have been experiencing a detachment from what influencers on my Instagram feed are wearing that I think I should be wearing, and finding more and more what I feel my best in and how I need to live my daily life, rather than getting those 7 inch heels I can only walk two blocks in.

This has helped be more authentic in my style, and of course more sustainable because I am not jumping to buy every trend I see. Instead, I see what trends suit me and my lifestyle, and shop accordingly; or discover I already have pieces from last year that are still on fashionable so I don’t need to shop at all... even better! I am not saying that fashion influencers are not fabulous and a great style guide, just to create a certain balance between what we see on social media and what we truly, deeply love, and need.

I am wearing today an absolutely comfortable outfit, showing no groundbreaking trends at all, only perhaps this lemon color, which I am truly obsessed with. I have basic pieces made ethically and I feel much cooler than when I am wearing something I bought because it looked so good on a certain model. This is how I want live always, more true to myself, less to what fashion influencers keep telling me I should buy, and overall more sustainably.

Another thing I am finding with following less trends and more my personal style: I now focus more on accessories that make me happy and get to wear so many times, rather than on pricy clothes I probably won't wear more than 20 times. Otra cosa que he encontrado al seguir menos tendencias y más a mi estilo personal: ahora me enfoco más en accesorios que que me hacen feliz y puedo usar muchas veces, en vez de ropa costosa que no usaré más de 20 veces. Aretes de Bauble Bar (¡tienen descuentos ahora!).

Claro está que no intento decirles que hacer (ya que obviamente pondré los links de compra abajo de las fotos 🙃). Últimamente, he experimentado un desapego de lo que las influencers en mi Instagram están usando que pienso que debería usar también y encontrando cada vez más lo que me hace sentir mi mejor versión y como necesito vivir mi día a día, en vez de comprar esos zapatos de tacón de 15 cm con los que sólo puedo caminar dos cuadras.

Esto me ha ayudado a ser cada vez más auténtica con mi estilo y por supuesto, más sostenible porque no estoy corriendo a comprar cada tendencia que veo. Al contrario, veo que tendencias me quedan bien, se ajustan a mi estilo de vida y compro de acuerdo a esto; o a veces descubro que hay piezas que ya tengo que todavía siguen de moda, por ende no necesito comprar nada... ¡aún mejor! No estoy negando que las influencers son fabulosas y una gran guía de estilo, solo que creemos ese balance entre lo que vemos en las redes sociales y lo que profundamente, de verdad queremos y necesitamos.

Hoy estoy usando un look absolutamente cómodo, sin mostrar ninguna tendencia revolucionaria, quizás este bello color limón con el cual estoy obsesionada. Uso prendas básicas hechas éticamente y me siento mucho más cool que cuando estoy usando algo que compré sólo porque se le veía bien a cierta modelo. Así es como quiero vivir siempre, más fiel a mi misma, menos a lo que las influencers me dicen que compre y en general, mucho más sostenible.

Lemon combat boots by who else...? Dr. Martens! This is my first pair of boots from the brand and I didn't think they would be this comfortable, I absolutely love them. My only recommendation is to size down from your regular size.
